Straight To The Feels (The Land Before Time 1988 Review)

Welcome Back To The Y Us Channel. Today's movie review will focus on 1988's The Land Before Time.
This animated classic packs a serious gut punch. Most of us have seen or grew up with this movie, and we all know too well what happens early on.
A tear jerker for sure.
For Those of you unaware, the movie focuses on a young dinosaur named Littlefoot who grows up with his mother and grand parents. they live with their herd looking for a place known as the Great Valley. During this quest, a giant earthquake seperates Littlefoot and his mother from the rest of the herd and things culminate with an encounter with the film's antagonist, the Sharptooth.
Littlefoot's mother dies, leaving him to journey alone. During his quest he groups up with the rest of the characters we are all familiar with, Cera, Ducky, Spike and Petrie. Together they overcome their differences and reach the Great Valley.
This movie was intended to follow the formula established with Bambi, but with dinosaurs. Don Bluth is the creative mind behind this classic.
A nostalgic favourite for many us, that has was followed up with several direct to video sequels.
