Regaining Function & Strength - Inspiration
One can regain the use of their arm after a stroke - through repetitive practice, your brain and muscles can be trained to adapt.
When practicing a new skill or re-learning an old one, specific neural pathways in our brain are activated. Initially these pathways might be weak, and movement will feel difficult or clumsy (especially on the affected side) but through repetition and consistency they can become stronger.
This has been Jenn’s journey over the last 23 months and she continues to regain muscle movement and strength, range of motion and function throughout her body.
This video shows her benching a 25lb bar which we just “upgraded” to last week - she has come a long way with her push & pull strength - this is definitely another win!
Jenn is full of positive energy and is grateful for life itself; her focus and tenacity are unbreakable.
If you are a stroke survivor, there is hope, seek a professional that can create and walk you through your personalized healing, recovery and strengthening journey.
God bless!
