DIY Mini Turbo Jet Fan | Building My Own Version from Scratch!
#TurboFan #3DPrinting #Electronics
Hey everyone! I was casually scrolling through Instagram when a reel caught my attention. It featured this super cool mini turbo jet fan, and I just had to learn more. After a quick Google search, I found out it's not exactly cheap, and, well, I don’t have a girlfriend to gift it to me like the guy in the reel mentioned. But no worries—I’m not letting that stop me! In this video, I’m going to try and build my own version of this gadget. It’s going to be a fun project, so stick around until the end!

Project Overview:
We’re kicking things off with a motor. While I initially considered using a standard brushed DC motor, I quickly realized they’re heavy and don’t spin very fast. So instead, I’m opting for a brushless motor—tiny but powerful, spinning at over 60,000 RPM. We’ll also need an Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) and a PWM controller to get this motor spinning.
Next up, I'll prototype the blade and outer body using 3D design. After printing with PLA (though ABS would be better for heat resistance), we’ll assemble everything and see how it performs. Spoiler: It spins insanely fast and generates a ton of airflow!
Testing & Assembly:
From blowing away cardboard papers to candies, this mini jet fan proves to be super powerful. After finalizing the design and trying out different color themes, I decided on a classic black-and-white combo. With a smaller ESC, the project is compact and sleek. The final product looks amazing, and I’m thrilled with the results!
Final Thoughts:
I built this purely for fun, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Let me know in the comments—did I nail it or not? I’ve listed all the materials I used in the video below, and if you need the STL files, they’re available through channel memberships.
If you enjoyed this video, don’t forget to give it a thumbs-up! Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next one. Until then, bye-bye!
