MICHAEL FRANZESE WAS AN INFORMANT AGAINST MOB

Michael Franzese has long denied that he was an informant for the FBI, but the truth is Michael was an informant, and the people he put people in prison. In the case with Walters, whom was a gangster, Franzese was going to be indicted, and agreed to sign an agreement with the fbi in return for immunity in that case.

Michael also gave information about mobsters, their ranks, heirarchy, and gave them info they could use in later prosecutions. He took an active role in Operation Royal Crown, where he began working for the feds in 1980, some six to seven years before he ever admits talking to the feds. He also, worked with the Illinois FBI.

In released FBI 302's, Franzese even was willing to give up murders, but only would do so if Special Agent Lyons heard him out. According to Michael's own words "I tried to tell you guys about these murders, however, nobody seemed to care." Michael specifically gave information for a sentence reduction.
