The SADC Regional Strategic Indicative Development Plan (RISDP) is a comprehensive framework guiding the Southern African Development Community’s (SADC) development agenda over a 15-year period. Approved in 2020, the RISDP 2020-2030 builds upon the organization’s Vision 2050, envisioning a peaceful, inclusive, competitive, and middle- to high-income industrialized region where all citizens enjoy sustainable economic well-being, justice, and freedom. The plan is structured around five strategic priority areas: The Foundation (Peace, Security, and Good Governance); Industrial Development and Market Integration; Infrastructure Development; Social and Human Capital Development; and Cross-cutting issues including Gender, Youth, Environment, and Climate Change, and Disaster Risk Management.
