We were once told to ascend to get ourselves out of the Q.U.B.E., but then forced to go downward to it's core to uncover the truth. Emma is a crazy person, as expected of someone that I've never met and/or is telling me to do things without physical interaction, so we just ignore her and continue to solve a few more puzzles. While turning things on, because power supplies, we suddenly are getting angry with the male GLaDOS that's not actually telling us anything. He even goes so far as to insult our intelligence/existence by saying they "created" mankind and that we're "false learners", making it seem like we've been built to ultimately doom ourselves... Kinda deep, and almost to an unnecessary point, but regardless... I still get to do block things that give me power, and that power will only continue to grow as I evade my pursuers. After a headache of a reveal about the S.O.S. beacon, we are once again stranded inside the cubie-thing that suddenly has a voice. Although it's not female-like, it will still forever remind of a certain other overly chatty A.I. program that has ill intent. And even with the red-flag warnings, we continue to do things by moving block and pushing buttons, all for the chance that we might get to be placed elsewhere in the structure. Feeling confident about activating alien tech that is set to takeover several worlds, our main girl ignores the concerns I have and goes about triggering the power towers. Along the way, the second girl doesn't seem to care or may just very well be evil/fake. But at least I got the company of some well "detailed" statues that are in fit shape. With a Healthy cow's diet both in our paws and on our suit, we venture deeper into the blocky territory of whatever structure we're unwillingly invited into, slowly getting suspicious of the second woman that's telling us she can see but not actually hear or properly interact with us. She's even less concerned that we're attempting to trigger electrical components within the structure without actually understanding what it'll do with us inside it. That's okay though, because Black Mesa is still watching, and slowly learning with giving us big budda-butt-cheeks to gaze at. How did they know?! Q.U.B.E. 2 is the successor to Q.U.B.E. (1), where you're once again tasked with trying to use puzzle solving skills to find out how you got inside the massive square structure that surrounds you, guided by another that seeks to better understand the reason for their existence. Rather than being a nameless and mute character, the sequel sees you as Amelia Cross, an archaeologist that was one her way to a dig site, but unknowingly and unwillingly got place inside a mysterious alien box. She now must use her Q.U.B.E. linked gloves to traverse the artifact and escape back to her normal life. After someone loudly banged on my door, we wake up in a desert sandstorm and learn we've finally got a husband, but have no idea what his favorite color is... It better be red, or else! We feel accomplished after the last encounter with the Q.U.B.E., so much so that we decide to take down another after it somehow swallowed us without us knowing--typical Saturday night. In a hurry to get the frick out of the box, we trip up our pursuers with using all the powers of the box has to offer, but also break most of our bones because it's the only way. Two voices talk about lying and swearing for a bit, while I try to wrap my tiny brain around the idea of how to solve a puzzle properly. After which, I'm offered a choice; Push the Big Red Button, or don't... I think we know the obvious answer here. After complaining about how dirty the place is, we sadly find ourselves in an even dirtier area (not sure how that's even possible). We get more talk-backs from the No-No.-No guy, forgetting about the plot as we learn there's robots inhabiting the space brick. Eventually, Black Mesa leads us to the literal heart of the box construction, finding it to also be a box, which finally allows us to understand how chocolate is made. Feeling we did a good job keeping our pursuers at bay, we trek on to figure if we're still doing anything to hinder the cube-ish-thing. We're being told we're doing "something" to the box in space, but it doesn't mean much when all we know is colors. The intruder talks about the lady lying to us, and we may be inclined to believe him, as the lay talks to us about our book, but doesn't read it properly. Q.U.B.E. is a mysterious linear puzzle solving 3D platformer that sees you play as a silent "astronaut", who's tasked with shutting down a facility in space that's drifting towards Earth. We've no idea where this place came from, how you got in or what you're actually supposed to do, but with a lady sometimes getting in range to make contact you get information about both yourself and what's going on... That is until another interferes and lets you know that things aren't what they may appear to be. After waking up from a good nap about anthros, we arrive at the start of a rubix cube adventure to play with squares. Unfortunately, our time of peace is cut short when a lady tells us we don't know who we are, but we feel Furry--so it's whatever. However, we're told this place is about to crash into Earth... Oh well, sucks to suck for Earth! Unfortunately, I have to move forward, because I have a bad feeling someone, or SOMETHING, is chasing me.
