The Witch - The Cult

Outside of the album "Electric", "The Witch" is the only song that was ever produced by "Rick Rubin" for The Cult.

The song started as a demo named "Northern Man" and can be found on "Rare Cult" , remolded into "The Witch" , and used specifically for the "Songs From The Cool World (Music From And Inspired By The Motion Picture)" soundtrack. The song became popularized, and also has a music video.
The Cult also included "The Witch" on its 1993 release "Pure Cult (For Rockers, Ravers, Lovers And Sinners)". and also released as a single in Australasia.

During 1992, Ian also worked directly with "Matt Dike" who is credited as "Loop Consultant" during the Rick Rubin production for "The Witch". Ian (on his own) recorded at least three demo tracks 1992 Demos with Matt Dike which can be found on the 1994 self-titled album.
