A Drive To The Lake Jacomo Miata Meet Up - August 18th, 2024

In this video I hop into my 95 NA Miata and take a drive East over to Lake Jacomo in Blue Springs, Missouri for a Miata meet up, hosted by Riley of the Kansas City Miata Club on Facebook. It was a mostly cloudy day with a slight chance of rain, so I did get hit by a few raindrops on my way out there, but nothing serious. Once I got there, only a few Miatas were there so far. They told me the event had been delayed an hour because of rain, so we had to wait around an hour for some of the others to show.

Once 5 PM rolled around, we ended up with about 8 to 10 Miatas total, and about 10 other cars and a motorcycle. Not too bad, considering the looming threat of rain. Check out the nice RX-7 in the photos, very nice! After about an hour of socializing and talking Miata shop, we decided to do a group cruise around the lake. For this drive, I magnet mounted my Wolfang GA420 action cameras to the front and back of my NA Miata. They drove a little fast for my taste, but I was able to keep up fairly well. We U-turned at one spot and headed back to the marina parking lot. We lost a few along the way, whether they were headed back home, or just took a wrong turn.

Shortly after, it was time for me to head back home. Both there and back, I put my top up and used the AC, which I've probably used 3 or 4 times on 8 years. Anyways, all in all, it was a good Miata meet up.
