Where's my car? Found it but I can't have it back

I have my car towed by the AA on Friday 16th Aug 2024. I had already booked it in for Tuesday online. I added a message to the booking form online, stating that the car needed a clutch replacement or repair. I also called in to clarify and prepare the garage beforehand. I stated that I had just booked the car in and how long it would take to have that done, asking if it could be done in a day. He stated plainly that it would likely take more than just one day, to which he said he'd have a look at it when I book it in and let me know. When AA towed the car on Friday, I was told that the garage refused to take it in. I asked why, and was told that they don't do repairs. I was surprised based on the call I had on Tuesday.
