Brazil plunged into shock- plane carrying more than 60 passengers and crew crashed near São Paulo

Footage showed on TV shows a large area on fire and smoke coming out of what is believed to be a plane fuselage. Additional video on GloboNews captures a plane drifting downward vertically in a fatal spiral.

Local fire service confirmed the plane fell to the ground near the Vinhedo. There are said to have been as many as 58 passengers and four crew members at the time of the tragedy, which involved a Voepass Linhas Aereas plane.

It is currently unknown what caused the accident, or how many casualties there are.
