An Interview with Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake, TSO, Iconic)

We caught up with guitarist Joel Hoekstra [Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Ochestra] on May 4th, 2022 as he was about to head to Europe with Whetesnake for dates on their ‘farewell’ tour. But before he left, we had a chance to speak with him about his new and upcoming project Iconic. It’s a ‘supergroup’ of sorts which features Hoekstra on guitar, Michael Sweet [Stryper] on guitar, Marco Mendoza [Black Star Riders, The Dead Daisies, Whitesnake] on bass, Tommy Aldridge [Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne] on drums and Nathan James [Inglorious] on vocals. Iconic will release their debut album ‘Second Skin’ will be issued on June 17th, 2022 on Frontiers Srl. The band have released a video for the track “Nowhere To Run” and the response to it has been amazingly good.
