Ottawa County Commissioner Roger Belknap is requesting a recount

Official results show that Belknap lost by more than a thousand votes. Belknap is a member of the Ottawa Impact group, who says the recount is needed due to complications and outages of online reporting on election day. The county clerk's office says the Ottawa County Election Results website experienced higher than usual traffic on election day, which caused the site to become temporarily unavailable, but no vote totals were affected by the temporary outage.
