ECB Head Christine Lagarde in 2021: 'We Must Vaccinate the World or It Will Come Back to Haunt Us'

Speaking in September 2021, European Central Bank head Christine Lagarde explains why we need to "vaccinate the world":

"If we don't vaccinate around the world... it will come back to haunt us, and it will come back to hurt us."

"I am baffled by the fact that the entire global community cannot put together $50 billion in order to address vaccination in those countries of the world where only 2% of the population is vaccinated. By that I mean the low income countries."
