Super Mario Kart is a kart racing game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The first game in the Mario Kart series, it was released in Japan and North America in 1992, and in Europe the following year in 1993.

The kart game that started the franchise, and pretty fun to boot. The original rainbow road still gives me the willies.
