Demo Submission | "Storytime with Gambit & Rogue" Indie Web Series

Here is a short original piece I composed as a demo submissions to be the composer on a new web series forthcoming that is a fun fan take on the X-Men characters Gambit & Rogue. It is a tone intended for a young audience and while there is some action and violence, it is done in a way that is appropriate for kids. I chose to score a dramatic scene as I am trying to branch out a little from all horror and action.

Based on some of the temp music presented, the filmmaker seemed to enjoy acoustic and percussion instrumentations. Knowing the characters of Gambit & Rogue are originally from the south and are presented with typical southern accents, I chose to take a pseudo southern gospel feel with both the melody and the instrumentation while still trying to support the narrative drama on screen.

At the time of uploading this I am still one of the finalists for possibly being chosen.If not, no worries as I enjoyed the two episodes so far and hope it is successful enough for her to make more.
