Equipping Impoverished Churches: Raw Faith Amidst Persecution with Dr. David Chotka

I recently had the privilege of chatting with Dr. David Chotka, a pastor and author who has traveled the world equipping persecuted and impoverished churches. His stories of seeing the raw faith of believers in places like Ukraine and Uganda firsthand were incredibly inspiring. These persecuted Christians had next to nothing materially, yet their joy and trust in God in the midst of horrific circumstances was profound. Dr. Chotka shared transparently about his own journey with his wife's battle with a wasting muscle disease. After years of praying, they realized they needed to shift their focus from seeking healing to seeking the Healer himself. Soon after, on a trip to serve churches in Africa, Dr. Chotka witnessed his wife miraculously healed after over 20 years of living with her condition worsening. It's a powerful testament to what God can do when we seek him above all else! I'd highly recommend checking out Dr. Chotka's books, especially "Hey, It's Me God" where he gives practical guidance on how each of us can learn to hear God's voice in our daily lives.
