Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation – Chief of the Main Directorate for Political-Military Affairs Colonel General Viktor Goremykin presented state and departmental awards to servicemen undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at Branch No. 2 of the Central Military Clinical Hospital named after A.A. Vishnevsky.

🎖 Those servicemen who distinguished themselves in battles were presented with Orders of Courage, medals 'For Valour', medals 'For Bravery', medals of Suvorov and Zhukov, as well as medals of 'Participant of Special Military Operation'.

'You have demonstrated courage, bravery, selflessness. Russia is proud of you. You are real defenders and patriots of your country,' said Viktor Goremykin. He noted that the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation is paying the closest attention to the servicemen involved in the special military operation who have been wounded and are being treated in hospitals. The Deputy Defence Minister of the Russian Federation also thanked the hospital staff, who are doing everything they can to help their patients recover.

Military personnel who decided to remain in the Armed Forces after treatment and rehabilitation, and who underwent retraining, were also provided with documents confirming supplementary vocational education.

In addition, servicemen were presented with new ranks and housing documents.

'I am sure that your unique combat experience will be demanded in the service of the Fatherland. There is no doubt about it. New military posts are ready for you to arrive, and the problem of where to live has been solved,' added Colonel General Viktor Goremykin.

The event was attended by four participants of the special military operation who have completed their rehabilitation after being wounded and are already carrying out their new duties. This was the first time such a meeting had been held in the hospital.

Captain Vladislav Golovin, Hero of Russia, and Lieutenant Albert Aminov were among those who attended the meeting.

Igor Starovoyt and Yevgeniy Kazakov, who had also come to share their experience with other servicemen, were conferred the rank of senior lieutenant that day.

The officers spoke to the soldiers being treated and told them about their lives after being wounded. After completing the retraining programme, the servicemen have already taken up their new duties. Many share their experience as teachers in military educational institutions. Vladislav Golovin participates in the 'Vremya Geroyev' (Heroes Time) programme.
