The servicemen of the unit are specialists in arms issues, welding, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The workshops of the armament repair and recovery field facility have all the necessary equipment and tools.

'We repair artillery weapons as well as small arms. We repair and maintain the vehicles...Sometimes a mine arrives and shrapnel directly 'dismantles' small arms, mortars, machine guns...It bursts the barrel, for example, and it is very difficult to change it on the machine...' said specialist of armament repair of combat vehicles and small arms with the call sign Sakhalinets.

After the repair, each combat unit is subject to compulsory inspection and fire at a training ground. After the tests, the recovered weapons and hardware are sent to the units to carry out combat tasks on the front line.

'When the weapons are repaired, we move to a training ground, we shoot them, we check them, we find out what other drawbacks there are. If there are some problems, we fix it. After that the weapons are ready for combat actions,' said the serviceman.
