Salvation is a gift, it is NOT earned

Plain reading of scripture stating the difference between salvation and inheritance, an often confused subject leading to many denomination's errant teaching that salvation can be lost once you receive the GIFT of it, and yet they can't show that actually in scripture as plainly as it states you do NOT lose it, it is a gift and it is permanent.
