Two long dark ambient pieces based on dark synth drones and heavily modulated Gregorian chants. Spectral sounds, distortions and walls of effects are mixed in.
Music for a post-religious age. Soundscapes that cry out for headphones in abandoned churches.
Stillstand has been active since 1998 and has since released around 15 albums addressing various aspects of electronic ambient. “Sermons” is probably a rather dark and static album in the project discography that focuses more on atmosphere and less on melodies.
