I played pokemon yellow as a kid, and silver later. Some of the tricks to moving through are different for pokemon red or blue, but I don't think it will matter. I'm going to try to do as much of this game in one sitting as possible. Yesterday I made good progress, and I'm not sure that I'm going to "beat" the game tonight, but I'm going to continue to play the game until I make it all the way through the elite four.

It's time to finish what I started. It's time to take my journey to the elite 4 and become the pokemon master.
