THE CLOCKWORK ELVES

Terence McKenna claims that the clockwork elves are beings that one encounters after ingesting the necessary quantity of dimethyltryptamine, or DMT as it is more often known.
This is how Terence characterizes the entities:

After passing through a kind of membrane, you arrive at a location. You're forced through and you encounter the tykes, as I like to refer to them. The mechanical elves that are capable of transformation into all things and sing in a language from another realm. They round you and greet you with "We're so happy to see you."

Terence claims that these elves change both themselves and the things around them through language, creating a neon playpen of hills and pulsating illumination. It's easy to write off this description as nothing more than drug-induced hallucinations when you hear it, and you may be right.
