LAW MATTERS Episode 5

In Episode 5 above, viewers will learn about two states that have passed legislation protecting women in sports, the legal challenges the states are facing, and why the states’ laws are not in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection Clause or Title IX. The states are Idaho and West Virginia and both have filed petitions with the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to be heard. In both cases, America’s Future filed amicus briefs expressly arguing in favor of SCOTUS granting certiorari and, upon hearing the cases, upholding the respective state statutes as valid and enforceable.
