UPDATE | After citizens' uproar caused officials to act, ICE removes Kootenai County from list.

As reported by Kootenai Journal (link below) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has issued an apology to Kootenai County for mistakenly including their jurisdiction as non-cooperative when it comes to detainers issued by ICE for criminal illegal aliens in their custody.

News broke last week that caused a citizen uproar across the county with phone calls and messages flooding Sheriff's and commissioner's offices.
