Weimar Flapper: Valery Boothby

Valery/Valerie Boothby (1904-1982) was born Wally Drucker in #Hamburg #Germany . Rising from her family owned #DruckerTheater (now the #StPauliTheatre ) , she starred in over 20 films during the #WeimarRepublic . Leaving Germany in the 1930s, she settled in #Cairo #Egypt where she painted famous individuals. She returned to Germany in the 1970s and was supposedly married twice.
