Alcoholic Alchemy #8: Old Fashioned Two Ways

Today on Alcoholic Alchemy I try a classic cocktail, the old fashioned.How badly did I mess up the classic old fashioned?

Old Fashioned #1
1 sugar cube
3 dashes Angastora Bitters
1 ml water
2 Oz Bourbon (or Rye)
orange peel

Add sugar cube, angastora bitters and water into a mixing glass and muddle until sugar is disolved.

Add bourbon and ice and stir to chill. Strain into glass with ice. Express the orange peel over the glass and rub around the rim before using it as a garnish.

Old Fashioned #2
1 barspoon simple syrup
3 dashes Angastora Bitters
2 Oz Bourbon (or Rye)
orange slice for garnish
luxardo cherry for garnish

Add simple syrup, angastora bitters, bourbon and ice and stir to chill. Strain into glass with ice. Garnish with orange slice and luxardo cherry.
