PCMCD Preliminary Budget Meeting Aug 28

Listen to the PCMCD discuss raising their line item for removing tires found by the roadside with no justification seems to be just a way to have extra money in the budget. Some line items were removed including a skid steer and a dump trailer saving Pasco Tax payers funds. Last year they ignored our pleas to lower the millage rate they felt they were entitled to it. This year they took the rollback rate and lowered it a little more. The budget still increased substantially but it seems a year of attending meetings is having a slight impact.

After the budget discussion Director Rogers took a few minutes to explain how audience members are spreading rumors about the mosquito control. The storm we had at the beginning of the month was different that what has occurred recently and has caused huge problems for the district. It is unfair for community members to be critical of the PCMCD.
