Depression Tip #3: Nature + VOC's!💙
Depression tip number three. Try to get out into nature as often as possible. It may be that you prefer the beach, it may be that you prefer a riverbank, it may be that you prefer the open moorland or something like that.💙
Getting out into nature has huge mental health benefits for us, but I've noticed that it feels great when I do it, but then when I haven't done it for a while, I forget about it, which I think is incredibly strange that... you can have such a wonderful experience, but then forget about it.💙
So you may have forgotten about it and depression will help you to not be able to remember it, not to be able to experience the feelings and enjoyment of it, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't benefit from it.💙
Personally I prefer the woodland, I love being inside the woods, I love being with the trees and science has recently shown that the woods, the trees, the plants release volatile organic compounds such as limonene and pinene and those have been shown to have antioxidant effects in humans.💙
