In this video, we discussed the process of filing an Importer Security Filing (ISF) for stroller travel carry bags. ISF is a mandatory requirement imposed by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to collect data on imported goods before they are loaded onto a vessel bound for the United States. The filing must be done at least 24 hours before the cargo is loaded, with an exception if the cargo is transported by land. The two options for filing an ISF are either filing directly or appointing a licensed customs broker. Working with a licensed customs broker ensures compliance and saves time and effort. Finally, we emphasized the importance of having a customs bond when filing an ISF, as it provides a financial guarantee for compliance with CBP regulations and covers potential penalties.
