Epilogue Part 1 and we get to play as John Marston, and it's a few years later. He is with Abigail and Jack (who is now 12) working as a farm hand/rancher at Pronghorn Ranch. Working the ranch by milking cows, shoveling the stalls, building fences, and running errands down in Strawberry, wrangling bulls, birthing horses, all while trying to secure the ranch from the Laramie gang who are already causing trouble and causing Abigail to get made at John. John tries to be a good father and teach Jack how to ride a horse and appease Abigail by not killing people. Unfortunately, one night gun shots wake up John and Mr. Geddes tells you the Laramie gang stole the cows from the ranch. John grabs his gun and heads out with Abe and Mr. Dickens to kill everyone from the gang and get back the cows. The next day on your way back from grabbing packages in Strawberry, John kills 3 more men who follow you back to the ranch. At this point Abigail has had enough and leaves. John ends up working the ranch for a few more months to save up money before getting the blessing and help of Mr. Geddes to go to the bank in Blackwater for a loan to buy a plot of land that Abigail had wanted, Beecher's Hope. John secures the land by shooting some squatters and starts cleaning it up (he also runs into Uncle who follows him back to the new plot of land and receives a letter from Sadie to meet with her up in Valentine).
