SUTR Makes Market Traders Lose Money

On August 10th, we decided to move our Keep Female Spaces Female demonstration further up Gentleman’s Walk, for many reasons. One of these reasons was to prevent interference with Market businesses - the police were blocking anyone from entering and crossing, as there were our protest and the counter-protest either side. We also understood that people wouldn’t WANT to go through us, and so we moved to clear space.

Stand Up To Racism, Protest With Pride, and even the police cleared this gap that we had created, and moved closer towards us, continuing the Market Businesses’ disturbance.

How much money did Norwich Marketers lose that day, after we had tried to help with their flow?

This person doesn’t care. This young man does not understand how damaging it is for many of these businesses when they have a slow day, or have to shut. It can be life damaging, especially within the Cost of Living crisis.
