Bible Study: Colossians Ep.3

The church in Colossae was not started by Paul. It was started by his disciple, Epaphras. Paul's letter was written, while in prison, to a church he never met. The church was suffering from pressure to turn away from their belief in Christ so they can be more palatable to the Greco/Roman culture. It shows Jesus is head of a new body which is the church. It shows the supremacy of Christ in all things. The book of Colossians will give you the spiritual foundation to displace all ideologies that challenge Jesus as King.

Colossians 3:13-14
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
