BMW F82 M4 Exhaust System Upgrade DIY (2015-2020 BMW F80 M3, F83 M4, Milltek Equal Length)

The BMW F8X models like the F80 M3 and F82/F83 M4 have the power and prowess to back up the badge, but not necessarily the sound. The stock exhaust has unequal-length exhaust piping, which gives the S55 a unique sound but not one many love or consider to be very BMW. The smooth straight-six song blasting out of the most iconic models is lost on the F8X, but only when unmodified.

Aftermarket exhaust systems offer an equal-length catback exhaust system. Generally speaking, they're lighter and freer-flowing than the stock system, but the added exhaust piping removes the chunkier sound for a classic BMW tone.
