Anyone who has experienced addiction will be especially moved by this interview. In part one of three, Johnny shares his story of coming to Houston, growing up in the inner city, the beginning of an accomplished music career, and the road to addiction.

Some knew him as “Rock ‘n’ Roll Johnny”, and some “long-hair Johnny”, and both monikers reflect two personas he’s worn in his past. Today, he’s Johnny Gonzalez. Director of the Re:Generation recovery program at HNW church, and small business owner of an established tailoring shop.
