The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC.[1] Some additions to it were later made during the Roman period.

The building is unique because its 'double' design meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods.[2] The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor and Khonsu.[2] Meanwhile, the northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris ("Horus the Elder"), along "with Tasenetnofret (the Good Sister, a special form of Hathor or Tefnet/Tefnut[3]) and Panebtawy (Lord of the Two Lands)".[2] The temple is atypical because everything is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis.

This is an amazing place. When the local villagers received Christ, the temple was shut down and the early Christians worshiped Jesus in this place. So as I was standing in this place, I heard the voice of God speaking to Moses says I will execute judgement over all the gods of Egypt.

Exodus 12:12
“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.

The challenge is on. As I heard these words, I felt, this is the time to put away all foreign gods and to place God first. To seek first the kingdom of God before all else.
