Today marks day 207 of my sobriety journey, and I found myself listening to Suzanne Vega's powerful track "Luka." Before diving into the music, I took a moment to reflect on my day, which included two intense workouts—boxing and fitness. It was during the last session that I felt a small, unexpected glitch of fear creeping in while boxing. It was strange because there wasn’t an apparent reason for it, but it triggered a memory from my childhood, bringing back thoughts of violence and abuse. These emotions resurfaced, reminding me of the difficult experiences I've gone through.

This led me to think about "Luka," a song that has always resonated with me because of its profound message. The track speaks to the harsh realities that many face behind closed doors—whether it's a child, a partner, or anyone else enduring violence and abuse at home. It's a topic that’s heavy, especially for a Monday, but it’s crucial to talk about it. So, I dedicate day 207 to those who are suffering in silence, hoping that by bringing awareness to their struggles, we can all contribute to a safer, more compassionate world.
