Fail! Purple Heart Maple Wood Bowl

Sometimes the imperfections make the piece better, this time not so much. The discoloration in the maple, that sometimes reveals more in the character of the wood, ended up revealing a rotting hole. I cut through the layer of maple to see if the circle in the middle would enhance the artistic nature, but it detracted and rendered the piece unusable.
