Joel finally has enough energy to get up and move and finds out Ellie is missing. He encounters a few members of that gang and takes 2 of them hostage to find out where she is. As Ellie is abruptly woken up and about to what seems to be slaughtered, she bites the head guy and tricks them into believing she's infected. Rushing around to get out of their hideout, she sneaks along hoping the next door would be her escape.
