In the world of TV shows, a "bottle episode" happens when the producers run out of cash and have to cut costs, and end up filming a very streamlined chapter featuring fewer locations and characters, just to save some bucks and even things out. A few installments of the "Breaking Bad Show" come immediately to mind--such as the one where Jesse Eisenberg spends a whole day pleasuring himself in bed while high on percocet and wild truffles! Episode #27 of THE MARS CAFE CARTOON SHOW is not immune to "bottle episode" syndrome, because finances are tight, but that means it's a great time for intimate character development! Emory Bunny's fate remains in limbo; Cannibal Chris Parsley is a complete no-show; Monica, Mike, Pedro, and Cumbot are utterly absent; Zoran Markovic is not in the picture; Moochie and Taylor are off doing something else; Mayor Veronica-5, however, has to address a large Cabeza crowd and convince them that the very next "Day Zero" is sure to be a big hit (and also to beg for votes); Space-Byron has received special "TV show" footage from "Air Command" and, quite possibly, has made a great new friend; A fan-favorite character has seemingly returned from the netherworld of the dead, and with a remarkable new orifice, to boot; Documentarian Froobius has bonked his own noggin; Sheriff Bill has to contain an unpleasant crowd, witnesses a strange and squishy event, then heads off to execute a hateful Zeta Reticulan in order to keep Mars safe!
