Wednesday Evening Bible Study Jeremiah 16-17 9-4-2024

In Jeremiah chapter 16, God tells Jeremiah that he is not allowed to get married and raise a family. The situation in Judah will be too horrible to raise a family when the siege and captivity by Babylon takes place.
Jeremiah is again given the reasons for the coming judgment, but he also is told of a future restoration of Israel.
The people were steeped in idolatry and they put their faith in mankind instead of in God. The similarities of life in our country in our day is alarming.
