The news of federal charges claiming that a trusted aide to both NY State Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo rocked the news cycle coming out of Labor Day. Brazen claims of millions of dollars in kickbacks, changing messaging and even policy manipulation paints a scary picture of a Chinese national playing the "People's Republic of New York" like a fiddle. Gene Berardelli focuses particularly on a specific allegation where the alleged spy, Linda Sun, manipulated Gov. Andrew Cuomo into a deal with the Chinese Communist Party for ventilators during the pandemic, and asks what is it about Democrats that make them susceptible to CCP influence.
