Supersede: to replace in power, authority, effectiveness, acceptance, use, as by another person or thing. To set aside or cause to be set aside as void, useless, irrelevant, or obsolete, usually in consideration of something mentioned:

Supplant: to supersede (another) especially by force or treachery. To eradicate, to take the place of and serve as a substitute for especially by reason of superior excellence or power

1 Cor 13:10 “But when that which is complete and perfect come, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away.” KJV

NLT: “But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.”
