Hunting Seagulls and Digging Clams

My dog Lucy is well taken care of and no longer needs to survive by hunting birds or digging for clams. But somehow, she instinctively still knows how to do this - if she had to.

Many people are not so fortunate. Many people think their food comes from a grocery store that magically creates it from something called a 'supply chain'.

Although prepping is mostly about survival, and homesteading is mostly about sustaining a natural lifecycle, there are many people who have lost their ability to sustain themselves, let alone survive. They've become dependent on a system that takes care of them, and like a drug, is addictive and ensures they become dependent upon it.

But what happens when this drug is no longer available? What happens when the system you have become dependent upon no longer works?

People will need to come together to help one another in these times of need. To reeducate ourselves in the lessons of the past. To learn how to become more independent and self sufficient. To take back what is rightfully theirs.

I created Prepping Communities to enable people to help one another through connecting, preparing and sharing information and resources online and in groups.
