Paul could have written one Savior, High Priest, King, or Prophet, and each description of Jesus would be correct.
But he writes one “Lord,” and that is significant.
So, the first thing we learn about Jesus is He is our Lord!
That is the most important thing for us to acknowledge.
So, what does it mean that Jesus is our Lord?
Well, first, we need to know what the title Lord means.
Adonai is the plural of the Hebrew word Adon, which means “lord” or “master.”
Lord in Greek is kurios (koo'-ree-os), meaning “supreme in authority.”
The word "kurios" is a curious word as it can have several different meanings depending on how it is used.
