“Turkey Wants to Join BRICS” - Video Summary

Turkish President Erdogan is pursuing membership in BRICS and its membership is expected to be reviewed next month. Turkey has had a historic role in the past and the present with its unique geographic location that straddles Europe and Asia. In present day, Turkey has been part of the Western centric world but has been a problematic partner and now it is pursuing BRICS which once to displace the Western global influence. Is this Turkey seeing realignment or is it becoming a pawn in the geopolitical rivalries of present day?
