According to records reviewed by the Washington Examiner, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has long advocated for a
Minnesota-based medical research center with a history of collaborating with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (W I V)
in China.

The Hormel Institute,
which is based in Walz’s home state of Minnesota,
has collaborated with the W I V, which is central to the COVID-19 lab leak theory.
Records reveal that Walz has supported the Hormel Institute for over a decade,
participating in meetings and touring its facilities while helping secure millions in funding for the research center.
