7.9.2024 Kuranda Skate Park

Thought we'd wander around and check out the progress...looking good. Obviously not reopened yet but it must be getting close.
Great to see they've installed a drinking fountain as well!
We would like to know exactly what the arrangement between Mareeba Shire Council and TRACQS was/is with this project - IE: Who is paying for it, the Council or the Federal Government?
We'd like to thank TRACQS for making it usable again and the members of the Kuranda Ratepayers & Residents Working Group and the community in general for making this happen (whoever ended up paying for it) because without YOUR outrage about the derelict, unusable state it was in, including your emails and phone calls to Craig Crawford, it would undoubtedly still be in the state it was.
