Pacific414 Pop Talk Sunday Edition Watch Party of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan The Directors Cut

Welcome one and all to this edition of Pacific414 Pop Talk where we will spend this Sunday celebrating the premier of Gene Roddenberry's original Star Trek series by watching one of greatest Star Trek films to hit the cinema. That film we will be watching today, is Star trek II: The Wrath of Khan- The Director's Cut.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is a film based upon the Star Trek original series episode, "Space Seed" which was the 24th episode of the series to hit the airwaves on February 16, 1967.

The film features the return of actor Ricardo Montalbán who reprises his role from "Space Seed" as villain Khan Noonien Singh, who seeks vengeance against James T. Kirk (William Shatner) now an admiral in Starfleet, after the planet Khan and his followers were stranded on in the Cete Alpha system suffers a major catastrophe leaving the once thriving world a desolate wasteland killing members of Khan's group in the process.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is directed by Nicholas Meyer with the story by Harve Bennett and Nicholas Meyer, featuring a screenplay by Samuel A. Peeples and Nicholas Meyer.

The film featured the return of Star Trek series actors Leonard Nimoy. James Doohan, Nichelle Nichols, George Takei, Deforest Kelly, and Walter Koenig who reprise their roles along side William Shatner's Admiral James T. Kirk as Nimoy's Captain Spock, Doohan's Scotty, Nicholes Uhura, Takei's Hikaru Sulu, Kelly's Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Koenig's Pavel Chekov.

The Wrath of Khan is also the feature film debut of Kirstie Alley as Saavik.
