Why did I write this song?

“Well, it just came to me after taking a morning jog a few months ago (the current lyrics). It's infuriating that our society is in this present "divisive" state. We have a traitorous news media. The worst offenders are the biggies (legacy media): CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, New York Times, Washington Post. There are many more, of course. These are the principle drivers of half-truths, lies by omission and flat out fabrications. Often an opposing position to theirs they tag as a conspiracy. Fact, about 90% or so of journalists are politically left-of-center. What does that tell you? They are beginning to be called out, but those important voices are not as loud as they need to be. As a moral people, we need to point out and scorn dishonesty, always. We need to at least attempt to make our fellow citizens aware of the gross lies and inaccuracies that have been “showered” on them for years. Then they can reach conclusions based on facts. Perhaps this song will strike some chords, do some good for those that aren't yet seeing it this way? I hope so!” - Frank L
