I was really excited to get the opportunity to watch John work on my tattoo last week. Blackout / Blackwork tattoos have always been intriguing to me when it comes to tattooing technique. I have never personally done a blackout tattoo because I haven't felt confident enough to attempt it. So here is a little explanation on how John approaches his Blackwork Tattoo Technique.

When you are learning to tattoo it is important to take calculated risk when it comes to the different tattooing technique you are going to try. Jumping right into doing a blackout sleeve tattoo before you have even learned how to line a tattoo or how to shade a tattoo is not going to end up good for your canvas.
